California/West Coast peeps:
Meet Bruno, a very special dog looking for his people. This handsome, sweet boy has so much love to give! Despite a lifetime of neglect, Bruno’s happiest place is alongside his people, hanging out, snuggling, and giving kisses. He was recently confiscated from a home who was unable to properly care for him.
Poor Bruno was missing fur from a prior flea infestation, but it’s already growing back and getting fluffier with the help of baths and good nutrition.
Bruno is a dream dog in the house, potty trained, playful, and super affectionate. We estimate Bruno to be about 7, and we think he’s possibly a Chow/Aussie mix. He weighs about 50lbs, has no mobility issues, loves being active, and can easily jump in and out of the car. Bruno is really a great dog.
His one challenge, though, is that he needs to be an only pet. Because of his prey drive and dog reactivity, he would do best in a dog-savvy home with no other animals and with children over 12. He walks well on leash and loves riding in the car going on adventures. He just needs to be managed around other animals, but the good news is that he’s very focused on people, super smart, and eager to please.
This sweet boy would love nothing more than to have a family of his very own and feel cherished for once in his life. He’s currently in boarding, which isn’t an ideal or sustainable option for a dog who thrives so much in the company of people. We’re in desperate need of a foster or adopter for dear Bruno. He deserves the chance to know unconditional love and live his best life. Bruno will make an amazingly loving companion. Please help us find his people. We know they’re out there!
