Dahlia

Sweet poodle-mix Dahlia is as gentle and lovely as her namesake. This mellow young adult loves to cuddle, and especially to snuggle up in bed. Dahlia likes people and makes new friends quickly. After all, every new human friend is a new lap to sit on!

Although Dahlia came to us sick and neglected, she blossomed with TLC. She has gone from a sad little dog missing half her fur to a beautiful, spunky girl who dances for her food. In only four months, Dahlia has recovered from three surgeries, learned how to potty outside and to walk nicely on a leash, and been introduced to toys for the very first time.

Dahlia gets along well with all other dogs and with cats. She has not met any children yet, and so for now OPR recommends an adult-only household. Dahlia has allergies, but they are easily addressed with medication. 16.5 pounds Dahlia is guessed to be about 7-8 years old although when we first rescued her, shelter thought she’s much older.
