Meet Lucky, our new adorable 10-year-old terrier mix, who was surrendered to OPR because both of his former owners are unfortunately suffering from Alzheimer’s. Lucky is completely housebroken and sleeps comfortably in his crate at night. This sweet boy has been in a foster home for a couple of weeks now, and he is reported to be very affectionate and loving. He adores getting pets and will give little kisses to show his appreciation.

Lucky’s whole world has been turned upside down, so he’s a little insecure about being handled by strangers, but he warms up nicely when given a little space. Home with children age of He’s also very food motivated, which helps a great deal with training. Lucky is a little too excited about cats, so we recommend a cat-free home, but he’s great with all dogs, young and old.

This sweet snuggler is a lapdog when you’re watching TV and takes naps while you’re working. He loves to go for nice mellow walks and is good on leash. His foster has had no issues with him and shares, “He would make a great loyal companion and thrive in a home that is willing to give him a little time and patience to warm up!”
