Please welcome our new girl Tarra! This sweet senior was picked up as a stray in San Jose and taken to the shelter. She had a microchip, which is how we knew her name, but her owners sadly never came for her. We simply can’t understand why because Tarra is such a good girl. We rescued her on January 9 and tried calling her former owners repeatedly. We even texted them, saying it was okay if they wanted to surrender her, but we’d love more info. No one ever responded. Don’t worry, Tarra, we’ll take care of you.
Sweet Tarra is estimated to be at least 10 years old, and she has so much life to live and joy to give. She got a full checkup and only needed a teeth cleaning, otherwise she’s healthy. Her foster family tell us that she’s house trained, loves her short walks, doesn’t get on the furniture, adores being in her dog bed, is playful, enjoys quietly basking in the sunshine, and talks adorably when she gets excited. In a nutshell, Tarra is an awesome and easy dog!
Typical to seniors, she does need a little help now and again, with stairs and slick floors, and she’s a little stiff in the morning, but otherwise she has no mobility or health issues. She gets super excited for walks and is just a joy to be around. Have we mentioned that she’s downright adorable? All Tarra needs now is a family of her own to love her and show her she matters. Could that be you?
